This course is designed to cover the basics of an authentic science research project, as well as conducting individual astronomy research with the assistance of a range of professional astronomers, including Dr. Michael Fitzgerald. This course will equip you with the experience, knowledge and skills to assist your students with their Year 11/12 Depth Studies in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth & Environmental Science and Investigating Science. This course focuses on individual research, it is ideal for teachers wanting to conduct original astronomy research, to develop advanced research skills and (potentially) to publish a small piece of research at the end.
This course is suitable for 36 hours of Teacher Identified Professional Development.
This course, while focussed on the Australian Curriculum and the requirements for Australian Teacher Training and PD accreditation, can be taken by any educator, formal or informal, around the world.
